Aslam has a large fan base with sold-out concerts across the world – and now he will be coming to Auckland.
Bringing Atif Aslam is Omar Liaqat who is the director of Uthec Ltd
and has put this concert together, "we have undertaken this show to
raise awareness of the great artist coming from South Asia and we will
distribute a percentage of the profits from ticket sales to Oxfam New
Zealand supporting the flood victims of South Asia” – a show with a good
cause.
Other than organising the show Omar is an Electrical Engineer in
Auckland and a University lecturer. Atif Aslam has become a Bollywood
megastar and has immense appeal. He is currently working on a new album,
his first Bollywood movie and performing sold out shows across the
world.
His recent shows include Toronto, Bangladesh, India, Qatar, New York,
Dallas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Amsterdam, Pakistan and Bahrain. "So far
the response has been amazing in New Zealand from people visiting the
Facebook page and our website, the ticket sales are hard to keep a track
off” said Omar. This show is looking at breaking all records for a
Bollywood show so far in Auckland.
