In a
huge tug of war between producers Kumar Taurani and Amit Chandra over
Vivek Oberoi, now singers are being roped in. Yes, Atif Aslam and Mika
will compete with each other as Kumar and Amit have zeroed on Atif and
Mika to sing for Vivek in their respective films.
According to the
sources, while Atif will lend voice for Jayantibhai Ki Love Story, Mika
will croon for a title song of Kismet, Love, Paisa, Dilli where he will
recreating the ganpat music.
This tussle is not new though.
Apparently, Kumar Taurani and Amit Chandra had locked horns over the
release date of their respective films Jayanta Bhai…and Kismet, Love,
Paisa, Dilli.
According to the reliable sources, producer duo
wanted to en cash the popularity of VO who is all set to bounce back
with bang after hibernation. In fact, the actor is too engrossed with
many projects mentioned earlier simultaneously.
The sources
further added, "Taurani’s Jayanta Bhai….was always slated to release on
October 5 but producer never made a formal announcement and now Chandra
too has booked and announced the same date for the release of KLPD,
which has miffed Taurani.”
When probed about the same, Taurani
confirmed the news by saying, "Amit has just announced the release date
of his film. I am still debating on the final date for my film though
October 5 was always on my mind.” On the other hand, Chandra was of the
opinion that since he is the first one to have formally announced the
release date, Taurani should understand.
The sources close to the
film concluded, "Two films of the same actor if released on the same
date may affect each other’s businesses. One will perhaps have to
compromise but Amit is adamant about sticking to the same date.”
As
far as VO’s fans are concerned, it will be like a double bonanza offer
for them where they will see Vivek a tharki middle class Delhi Boy
romancing Mallika Sherawat in KLPD on the other hand Neha Sharma will
play his love interest in Taurani’s venture which is a gangster’s love
story.
